OVERVIEW Weapons Of Mass Destruction was a Dublin-based indie band which was active during the mid-2000s. The group was fronted by Gavin Prior of United Bible Studies. Gavin had also performed with the likes of The Magickal Folk Of The Faraway Tree, Wyntr Ravn, Amygdala and Murmansk. Throughout Gavin's career, he has been collaborating with other artists. In this project, his co-collaborators were Bryan O'Connell [Formika, Papercop, El Diablo & Mr. Creosote] and Fergus Cullen [The Wormholes, E=S=B and Amygdala]. The project is only believed to have existed for a short time. However, during this period, WOMD released the mini album 'Weapons Of Mass Destruction' on Deserted Village Records in 2004 and the ' No Retreat, No Surrender' EP on the Slow Loris imprint a year later. The abdn also contributed the track 'Ballroom Boogie' to the 'This Is Our Playgroup' compilation. Since the project came to an end, the trio have continued to be heavily involved in a variety of musical projects. Gavin has performed with Toymonger, Lost Roman Legions and Sabre Series as well as releasing a body of work under his own name. Bryan joind Huts On Stilts along with his brother and Mr. Creosote band mate, Adrian.
