OVERVIEW NoCrows is a Sligo based world music band. The group comes from a diverse set of musical backgrounds which is borne out in the music they perform. The band's lineup features Anna Houston [Mandolin, Cello, Dulcitone & Vocals], Steve Wickham [Fiddle, Guitar, Mandolin & Vocals], Oleg Ponomarev [Fiddle], Ray Coen [Guitar, Fiddle & Vocals], Felip Carbonell [Guitar & Vocals] and Eddie Lee [Double Bass, Flute & Percussion]. Anna is Swiss-born but resident in Ireland since 1991. She has performed with the likes of Cadenza. Steve Wickham is a well know n name on the Irish music scene over the past 3 or 4 decades. His wonderful fiddle-playing has been central to the sound of bands like In Tua Nua amd The Waterboys. Sligo-based Eddie Lee has performed with Those Nervous Animals and Nine Wassies From Bainne. More recently, he has been experimenting jazz and other different sounds through bands such The Odd Couple and Anything Goes. Russian, Oleg Ponomarev has also been resident in Ireland for some time. He came to prominence as part of Russian-gypsy band, Loyko before playing with The Cafe Orchestra and Yurodny. The band came together in 2005 and can be classified as Irish Folk combined with Gypsy and Mediterranean elements. To date the group has released 4 albums - 'Live At The Strand' [2006], 'Magpie' [2008], 'On The Moon' [2010]and 'Waiting For The Tide' [2014] 2005 -Band formed 2006 -Release of 'Live At The Strand' album [21 December] 2008 -Release of 'Magpie' album [14 July] 2010 - Release of 'On The Moon' album [31 October] 2014 - Release of 'Waiting For The Tide' album [24 May] - Ray Coen joins the band on a full-time basis
