OVERVIEW The Cades were an Irish rock band from Tallaght. Originally called The Barricades, the quartet came together in February 2007. The line up of the group was Brian Ashe [Vocals], Chris 'Git' Sweeney [Drums], Mark Maguire [Guitar] and Aido Murphy [Bass Guitar]. Sweeney had previously played with The Shells. The band gigged extensively including slots at Oxegen and the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival in Dublin. There are no known releases from the band, however, in their earlier inception as The Barricades, the group did release an eponymously-titled EP. In June 2010, the band announced that they were to split. Mark Maguire has since been recruited to join fellow Tallaght band Bipolar Empire.
