The line up featured Mark Bolger [Guitar], Ciaran Gallagher [Rhythm Guitar & Vocals], Chris 'Git' Sweeney [Drums & Percussion] and Chris Hogan [Bass Guitar]. The band was influenced by many of the greats including The Beatles and The Stone Roses. There were also obvious Oasis influences in the band's sound. While there are no known official releases from the group, The Shells recorded a number of tracks including 'Do You Remember', 'Hey Hey My My', 'Lead Me On', 'Perfect Soul', 'Rolling Stone', 'Sister Surreal', 'Sunshine' and 'Temper (Temper)'. Chris Sweeney went on to perform with The Barricades who, subsequently, shortened its name to The Cades. Mark and Chris Hogan went on to join Deshonos.
