OVERVIEW

Bitchman was an experimental rock band based in Cork during the mid-1990s. The line up of the group included Diarmuid MacDiarmada [Guitar & Vocals], Brian O'Shaughnessy [Bass Guitar], Mark Wilkins [Bass Guitar], Fergus Ryan [Guitar & Vocals], Clive Gash [Percussion & Vocals], Ronan Brady [Percussion] and Chris Cooke [Drums]. Brian and Chris has previously performed with Boa while Fergus has been a member of Blarney outfit A Cow In The Water.

There is little known about the group. However, the band's sound was influenced by the likes of punk and krautrock. Bitchman is known to have recorded a track entitled 'The Little Sly Fox Jumped Over the Not Too Distant Future'.

After the band split, Diarmuid went on to perform with a succession of bands including Das Madman, Luc & The Platelets, The Jimmy Cake, The Tycho Brahe and Zorilla. Fergus started a solo project, The ::: madPooka which subsequently became a trio.
