OLDCASTLE, CO. MEATH 2004 - 200x
OVERVIEW
Staccato (Headset) was a rock band from Oldcastle, Co. Meath. Active during the early/mid 2000s, the group featured a line up of William Hanly [Vocals & Guitar], Karl Boylan [Bass Guitar], Michael Browne [Guitar] and Padraic Traynor [Drums]. The group started out as a cover band and played the local Le Chéile. Festival in Oldcastle in 2004. The group gradually added original material to their set before, in 2005, focusing completely on their own compositions. The band supported Turn in December 2005 with their original set. The band went on to record a 2-track demo with Ado Gray. The two tracks in question were 'California' and 'Take It Or Leave'.

Little else is known about the group. However, the 4-piece later morphed in to Ekimo Kid. That group had run its course by the end of the decade. In 2010, Karl, Michael and Padraic team up with Scottish vocalist, Christine Purdie to form I Am KAII.
