While he is better known for his work with the likes of The Wilde Oscars, Patrick Freyne & His Bad Intentions and The Racketeers, he also produced a body of solo work. The Shiny Child project was more electronic in nature compared to his earlier work. He is known to have released a couple of singles under this name, however, the exact details of these are unknown.
