OVERVIEW Rest is a 4-piece instrumental rock group from Cork. The band originally came together as Wretch in 1999 before becoming Rest two years later. As Wretch, the band was heavily influenced by the American cult-rock group Kyuss and covered a number of the that band's tracks in its live repertoire. The original line up of the band featured Graham Lynch [Guitar], Stephen Barry [Guitar & Vocals], Mark Power [Bass Guitar] and Johnny Lynch [Drums]. However, Mark has since been replaced on Bass by Colm O'Shea from Limerick. Colm had previously performed with Atrophy. To date the band has released two full length albums - 'Burning In Water, Drowning In Flame' [2004] and 'I Hold The Wolf' [2013] as well as the mini-album 'Operation : Impending Doom' in 2007. The band's sound contains elements of a number of styles including progressive rock, post rock and black metal.
