Ken had previously played with bands such as Proles, The Experiment, Light A Big Fire and The Believers. The following year saw the band record a 3 track demo. Entitled 'Relive That Darndale Moment', the demo featured 'She Rings My Bells', 'Don't Take The Poison' and 'Vaseline And Vermillion'. In 1995, the band morphed into Saville. As Saville, the group became one the mainstays of the Irish music scene for a decade and a half. In 2014, Ken, Tosh and Vin came back together as The Citizens.
