DUBLIN 2004 - 2008
OVERVIEW
Moose Eats Leaf was one of the many musical aliases of Steve Fanagan. In the late 1990s, Steve was a member of the alternative rock band Deadman's Flats. That group also included John Cowhie [46 Long, Goodtime John, Goodtime] and Tim O'Donovan [46 Long, Settler, Neosupervital]. Since the band split, Steve has issued a series of releases under various monikers - Old Man Polka, Northstation and Wrecking Ball as well as a body of work under his own name. His music has always been very alternative in nature with the words 'experimental' and 'quirky' regularly used to describe his sound.

This is no different with the Moose Eats Leaf era. Steve used this moniker between 2004 and 2008. The project encompassed two EPs and a full length album. The first of these EPs was untitled but featured six tracks in total - 'Sketch Book Scribble', 'What Is You? ', 'For Those That Have Left Us', 'Talking With Friends', 'Neither Map, Nor Plan' and ''And Out…'. The lead track from this EP, 'Sketch Book Scribble' was included on the 'This Is Our Playgroup' compilation which was released in August of that year. In November of 2004, Moose Eats Leaf released its second, and final, EP. This time round the single included five tracks - '"Happy Morning!"', 'They Fall, We Float', 'Christmas Leaf', 'Echo...' and 'Where To Next?'. Moose Eats Leaf's full length debut album was released in March of 2008.

There is no reported activity after this period. All of the bands releases were on the Slow Loris record label. Slow Loris was established and run by none other than Steve Fanagan.
