OVERVIEW The Little Fish was a late 1980s / early 1990s band from Galway. The band lineup included Jimmy Fitzgerald [Vocals & Guitar], Brendan/Barry Duffy [Guitar], Turlough Moore [Bass Guitar] and Kieran Joyce [Drums]. Brendan has previously performed with Index 4. The band released its debut single 'Long Grass' in 1989 on Danceline Records. That same year, they contributed the tracks 'Patsy Child' and 'Craving' to the 'Nationwide • 3' compilation on the same label. The former would become the band's second single - released in 1990. However, before this this saw the light of day, The Little Fish paid a trip to RTE to record a session for the Dave Fanning Show. That session was reorded in November 1989 and featured ‘All About Eddy’, ‘Connemara Girl’, ‘Garden Gate’ and ‘Piece Of Your Courage’. Following the release of 'Patsy Child', the next single was band's most commercially successful. 'Wastin' That I Hate' reached #23 in the Irish singles chart. The group's final single - the aptly titled 'Goodbye' was released on the Solid Records imprint in 1991.
