OVERVIEW The Caroline Shout was an early 1990s band based in Cork. The band was formed out of the ashes of previous group, No Sangoma. In fact it was as No Sangoma that the band recorded the track 'Into Your Arms' which eneded up being the debut single for The Caroline Shout. The band's line up includes Mark O'Sullivan [Vocals], Liam O'Callaghan [Guitar], Ian Hendrick [Keyboards], Humphrey Murphy [Bass Guitar] and Dave Barry [Drums]. Mark and Dave had previously performed with No Sangoma. The aforemented debut single was released in 1990. In fact, this was to be the band's one and only single. In 1991, the band contributed the track 'So She Said' to the 'Bright Green Lights' compilation. The year after, a further track by The Caroline Shout, 'Sit Up' appeared on a string of compilations. After this date, there is little known about the group. Humphrey went on to play with Colourtide and, subsequently, Jodavino.
