OVERVIEW Wonder Villains is an Electro/Indie-pop band based in Derry. The line up features Eimear Coyle [Vocals, Bass Guitar & Synth], Cheylene Murphy [Synth & Vocals], Kieran Coyle [Drums] and Ryan McGroarty [Guitar]. Prior to the band coming together in 2008, Eimear and Cheylene had been performing with Damn Fine Coffee while Kieran and Ryan were part of Organized Confusion and Future Chaser. However as these musical projects wound down, Wonder Villains was born. The band writes and performs upbeat indie pop. The band released its first single, 'Oh Peter' in 2010. The track subsequently appeared on a number of compilations. This brought the band to a much wider audience. The following year heralded the release of the 'Zola' EP. The video supporting the single featured Gianfranco Zola, the former Chelsea football legend. Throughout 2012 - 2014, the band continued to release a string of catchy singles including 'Ferrari', 'Blonde' and 'Marshall'. All of these single released paved the way for the arrival of the band's debut long player, 'Rocky'.
