OVERVIEW The Whiteliars is a band which started off as a studio project for Leo Pearson. Leo is well known for his production and remix work with the likes of Brian Eno and Elvis Costello. On the local scene, Leo has also worked with The Subtonics, The Things & Rarely Seen Above Ground. For this musical adventure, he recorded the entire debut album himself, playing every instrument along the way. As the project gained momentum, he enlisted the support of Dee Doyle [formerly of Dali] on vocals and guitar and NC Lawlor on guitar and Lap Steel. By this time the project had become than just a recording experiment and The Whiteliars decided to hit the road. In a live setting, three became six with the recruitment of Brian Dempsey [Drums], Nathan Conway [Bass Guitar] and Grum Gallagher [Keyboards & Banjo]. The band's sound is a mix rock and blues combined with touches of country. In 2011, the band returned with a new set of songs. They were captured together on the band's second album, 'Wasteland'.
