2013 -

OVERVIEW The Whileaways is an Americana and Bluegrass groupd based in Galway. The trio of Noriana Kennedy [Vocals, Banjo & Uke], Noelie McDonnell [Voicals & Guitar] and Nicola Joyce [Vocals] originally performed together at the Port Fairy Folk Festival in Australia in 2012. Subsequent to this, they decided to record together and gave themselves the name Wildflowers. Indeed, it was under this name that they recorded their debut album in 2013. The group has since undergone a name change and now trades as The Whileaways. The group performed on the Body & Soul Earthship stage at The Electric Picnic Festival in 2015. In November of the same year, the band released the album 'Saltwater Kisses'. The band did its reputation no harm at all when they gave a wonderful rendition of the track 'Hi Lo Rag' on the Late Late Show in January 2016. 2012 - Band formed 2013 - Release of 'The Whileaways' album [10 May] 2015 - The Whileaways perform at 'The Electric Picnic' festival [02 -04 September] - Release of 'Saltwater Kisses' album [10 November] 2016 - The Whileaways perform 'Hi Lo Rag' on the Late Late Show [22 January]
