OVERVIEW Walter Mitty & The Realists is an indie rock band currently based in Limerick. The current line up features the McTeigue brothers from Leitrim. Niall is the vocalist and also plays guitar and keyboards. Conor plays guitar and percussion and also provides backing vocals. The pair are joined by Limerick lads Paul O'Shaughnessy [Drums & Percussion] and Colin Bartley [Bass Guitar & Double Bass]. The band soon built a reputation as an outstanding live outfit - so much so that they were invited to play at the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival in Dublin in September of 2007. The following year, the quartet won the Indie Week Canada festival. Nest up for the band was a stint in studio with Cranberries drummer Fergal Lawler to record their debut album. As a precursor to the release of the long player, the band released an eponymously-titled debut EP in the Spring of 2009.
