OVERVIEW Walpurgis Family is a Dublin-based rock band. Formed by three members of the band Groom - Jeroen Saegeman [Guitar], Wil McDermott [Keyboards] and Ruan van Vliet [Drums]. Since then JP Linklater [aka Jonny Fun] has joined the family while the band is also known to have many floating players. The band released its debut album 'Midsummer Party' on 21st May 2010. A second record followed in January 2012. This record, 'Dawn' was a more mature piece and garnered widespread acclaim. The band went on to plat the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival in 2014. After this, the band took some time out before returning in November 2016 with its third long player 'Live Your Life Around It'. Another accomplised effort, it was, alas, to be the band's final album. However, the band did record one final track 'Fire With Fire' as a means of signing off. The band played it's final gig in Whelans on 01 July 2017. Support on the night came from Stoat.
