ENNIS, CO. CLARE 2008 - 2012
OVERVIEW
Vertigo Smyth was the performing name of Tim Smith from Ennis. He emerged onto the scene in 2008 with the release of his 'Future Happiness' EP. In 2009, he contributed the track 'Comfort Me' to the 'Future Sounds 33' compilation. The following year, Vertigo Smyth released a split single with Windings on Out On A Limb Records. His contribution to the release was the track 'The Armada Song'. Next up for Vertigo Smyth was a collaboration with Carol Anne McGowan. The pair recorded the single 'Fox Eyes On Georgia' which was released in April of 2011. At the end of that year, he contributed 'The Armada Song' to 'The New Reindeer Age' compilation which showcased talent from the Limerick area.

However, in February of 2012, a message on his official website heralded 'the end of Vertigo Smyth'. Since 2010, Tim has been collaborating with Carol Anne McGowan. This relationship has since been formalised under the Hidden Highways moniker . The pair released its self-titled debut EP in April 2012.
