OVERVIEW Two Door Cinema Club are a three piece band from Bangor and Donaghadee. The line up features Alex Trimble on vocals and guitar, Kevin Baird on bass and vocals & Sam Halliday on guitar and vocals. Alex and Sam met at Bangor Grammar School and soon met Kevin through mutual friends. The band was formed in 2007 and the trio decided on pursuing a career in music instead of the academic path. They released their debut EP, 'Four Words To Stand On' in January 2009 which was very well received. This was followed by two more releases 'Something Good Can Work' and 'I Can Talk' before the end of the year. In December of that year, the band was listed amongst the nominees for the Sound Of 2010 poll in the NME. This is an annual poll of music critics which identifies potential new talent for the year ahead. While they did not win (Ellie Goulding came out on top), it did underline the band's growing reputation. February 2010 was a busy month for the band with 'Undercover Martyn' being released as their next single. This was followed a week later by the release of their debut album 'Tourist History' in Ireland.
