LIMERICK 1983 - 1990
OVERVIEW
Tuesday Blue was a rock band from Limerick. The group was formed in 1983 originally as a trio of Michael Ryan [Vocals], Dave Keary [Guitar] and Ralph Lindheim [Bass Guitar]. At this time, the trio used a drum machine. However, they soon recruited drummer Liam Darcy. A number of others played with the band at various times. These included Tom Jones [Keyboards & Guitar], Ray Fean [Drums] and Barry Warner [Keyboards].

The band signed with Mother Records and released its debut single, 'Tunnel Vision' in 1986. That year also saw the band being selected to represent Ireland at the Eurorock Festival which was held in Liverpool. 'Love Me Simple' followed as the next single. The band travelled to Montreux in Switzerland to record its debut album with Dave Richards. The record was released in the US in 1988 before getting its European release the following year.

The band split in 1990. Ray Fean went on to perform with No Sweat and The Black Velvet Band as well as doing a huge amount of session work. In 2002, an album 'Waiting For The Magic' was released which included an amount of unreleased material.
