FROM | 1999 - 2002 |
Formed in 1999, Thinker Org’s brief was to
create a body of music that would grow by
cannibalising itself. All material was played
on multiple CD players and the resulting
show would become part of the raw material
for the next show. Harnessing the panic of
noise through their 8-cdplayer live set up,
Thinker Org created a dense ever changing
ambience from the most limited of materials.
As well as using ancient greek tuning systems
and piss-poor sampling techniques, they augmented
their live performances with specially commissioned
video-pieces to accompany the music by Karen
Curley and Simon Doyle. Every gig was recorded
and used as raw material for the next, sending
the band ever further down the road of total
noise white-out. Simon and Vincent parted company in 2002 and went solo as Bad Lunatic and Quartz Pee Cockwork respectively. |
