OVERVIEW The Swell Season was formed on the back of the success of the film 'Once' for which Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová won the Oscar for the Bext Original Song. The group essentially consists of the Glen's band, The Frames plus Czech singer Markéta. In October 2009, the band released its debut album entitled 'Strict Joy'.
