DUBLIN 1993 - 1999
OVERVIEW
Sunbear was an indie / shoegazing band from Dublin. The group was formed in 1993 and featured Martin Kelly [Vocals & Guitar], Paul Kelly [Guitar], Coln Morris [Bass Guitar], Patrick Moran [Drums]. Joe Chester would later join the group on Keyboards and Guitar. During the band's career, Sunbear released an eponymously-titled album in 1994 and two EPs - 'Bits & Pieces' [1996] and 'Dog' [2000]. In Spetember 2009, Indiecater Records released a compilation album, 'Bits'. The collectiongathers together tracks from the bands two EPs as well as a number of unreleased demos.

The band played regularly. One of the highlights of its live career was when they got to support Suede in Belfast.

The band split in about 1999, however, the lads would later re-emerge as The Ruby Tailights.
