OVERVIEW Story Of Hair was a shoegazing indie-pop band which was active for a number of years during the noughties. The lineup of the group included Amanda Eustace [Guitar], Caroline Carew [Vocals & Guitar], Paul Brett [Bass Guitar & Vocals] and Ger Staunton [Drums]. Caroline had previously played with Soviet Filter. The group played regularly. One of their more significant appearances was at the 2006 Hard Working Class Heroes Festival in Dublin. In 2007, the band released a self-titled demo which included 9 tracks in total. Many of these tracks would later appear on official releases. The first of these official releases, 'The Ho! Ho! Ho! Stamp' EP, was released in December 2007. The EP featured 6 tracks including 'Without Sound', 'Udder' and 'Pink Flamingo'. The band spent the next period working with Stephen Shannon on the debut album. The album, 'Cheap Rate' was finally released in October 2008. In the aftermath of the album release, the band dissolved.
