OVERVIEW Steerage was an instrumental rock band based in Dublin. The group was formed over the Summer of 2000. The band went through many line up changes and operated as a 3, 4 and 5 piece at varying times during its career. Steerage's membership included Donnchadh Hoey [Guitar], Peter Sisk [Guitar], Daniel O'Brien [Guitar], Conor Rapple [Bass Guitar], Breffni Murphy [Drums], Brian O'Higgins [Drums], Graham White [Drums], Derek McCormack [Guitar] and Brendan Cryan [Vocals & Guitar] at one time or another. Collectively, the group had a rich musical pedigree having played with the likes of Holy Ghost Fathers, Denizens Of Ilk, Playground Psychotic and Papercop. The band released one EP during its career. 'Smash Them All To Bits' was launched with a performance from the band at The Lower Deck in July 2003. The band was a regular fixture on the Dublin live scene and performed at the Ballroom Of Romance on a number of occasions. The project came to an end in 2004. Donnchadh would later perform with Spook Of The Thirteenth Lock. Brian went on to drum with Groom and Spellbound before reuniting with Donnachadh in the aforementioned Spook Of The Thirteenth Lock.
