DUBLIN | 1994 - 2005 |
OVERVIEW The Steam Pig was a Dublin-based Punk/Oi! band active for a decade from the mid 1990s to the mid 2000s. The group featured a lineup of Boz [Vocals & Bass Guitar], Del [Drums], and Andrew Godson [Guitar]. Tragically, Andrew [aka Godsy] died in late 1998. He was later replaced on guitar by Steven Anderson. While the band was a 3 piece for the most part of his career, it did perform as a 4-piece for a period around 1997. The band released 4 albums over the course of its career - 'Wy-Id T'd Double In' [1997], 'Deep Fried Obedience' [2000], 'Potshots' [2003] and 'Bastard Ugly Everything' [2005]. The first two records were released on Mad Butcher Records while the latter releases were on the band's own Jacinta's Offshore Holdings imprint. The band split shortly after the band's final album release. Steven went on to perform with bands such as Estel, Sir Killalot, Yurt and Venus Sleeps. Boz also teamed up with Steven once again as part of Yurt. 1994 - Band formed 1997 - Release of 'Wy-Id T'D' Double In' album 1998 - Release of 'Motorhead @ 5am' EP - Release of 'The Steam Pig / Adesso Viene Il Bello!!!!!' split single with Tomorrow - Andrew 'Godsy' Godson sadly passes away 2000 - Release of 'Deep Fried Obedience' album [13 October] 2003 - Release of 'Potshots' album 2005 - Release of 'Bastard Ugly Everything' album - The band splits |
