OVERVIEW Stano is the performing name of Dublin's John Stanley. He has been active on the experimental/avant garde music scene since the late 1970s - firstly as a member of The Threat. Since 1980 he has been plying his trade as a solo artist. He released his debut single 'Room' in 1982 on Vox Records. The following year saw the release of his debut long player, 'Content To Write I Dine Weathercraft'. The record is only now being held up for its quality. Since then, he has gone on to release more than 10 further albums - sometimes solo, sometimes in collaboration (like 2010's 'Tallywaggers' which was recorded along with Q) and sometimes using his alterego of The Protagonist 28 Nein.
