OVERVIEW So Cow is the brainchild of Brian Kelly from Tuam, Co. Galway. The project was conceived while Brian was living in Korea. The band's music has is a mix of rock, indie-rock and garage-pop. Many of So Cow's early releases were DIY in nature with Kelly doing everything himself. These early releases included 'Best Vacation Ever ' EP and albums 'These Truly Are End Times' and 'I'm Sliding With My Captors'. In the late 2000s, So Cow achieved a level of notoriety in Korea when the single 'Moon Geun Young' was released. Moon Geun Young is a famous Korean actress. In March 2010, So Cow performed at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas as part of a wider US Tour. Over time, Brian enlisted the services of Jonny White [Bass Guitar] and Peter O'Shea [Drums]. Peter had previously drummed with Grand Pocket Orchestra. Tony Higgins [Dott, Junior85] may also have played with the band at one time of another. Further releases followed including 'Out Of Season' which was a split album with Squarehead in 2012. In October of the following year, the band performed at the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival in Dublin. So Cow has always been quite prolific in the release of material. There have also been a number of unofficial albums which have been made available for download over the years. These inlude 'In A Shed' [2009], 'In The Sitting Room' [2009] and 'In Tuam' [2010]. In 2017, Brian announced that he had launched a new musical project, Half Forward Line along with Niall Murphy [from Oh Boland] and Ciaran Moylan.
