OVERVIEW Skully was born Dave Sullivan. Dave has been an ever present on the Irish music scene for the best part of three decades. He performed with Cork bands such as Real Mayonnaize and The Chapterhouse. After meeting Aïda Bredou from the Ivory Coast in Toulouse, Dave formed Métisse. As part of this duo, Dave went on to considerable success with albums such as 'My Fault' [2000] and 'Nomah's Land' [2005]. One of the highlights of this period of his career was when the track 'Boom Boom Bâ' from the band's debut album featured on the soundtrack to the film 'The Next Best Thing' featuring Madonna. In the latter part of the 2000s, Dave emerged as solo artist under his Skully moniker. He released a series of albums during this period including 'Without A Voice' [2007], 'Piano And Coffee' [2009] and 'Scent Of A Moment' [2011]. In 2008, he released the album 'Irish Makeover'. The 11 track collection featured modern reworkings of traditional Irish songs including 'Molly Malone', 'The Lakes Of Pontchartrain' and 'She Moved Through The Fair'. The album also featured guest vocals from the likes of Mick Flannery, Myles O'Reilly [Blotooth & Juno Falls] and Annette Buckley.
