OVERVIEW Skelocrats is an indie supergroup based in Dublin. The project came together in 2012 and comprises members of many of Ireland's finest indie groups including Life After Modelling, Settler, Grand Pocket Orchestra, Land Lovers, We Are Losers and Groom. The players in question are Pádraig Cooney [Vocals, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Synthesiser, Tambourine & Programming], Bronwyn Murphy-White [Bass Guitar, Keyboards, Melodica, Xylophone & Vocals], Paddy Hanna [Vocals, Guitar, Harmonica & Keyboards], Mike Stevens [Electric Guitar & Vocals]. All four had been working through the Popical Island record label and decided to put together a musical project. The quartet released an EP entitled 'Whip Crack Away' in April 2012. The 7-track collection was made available as a free download from Bandcamp. In July of that year, the band contributed the track 'Skelocrats In Heaven' to the 'Popical Island 3' compilation. The bands music reflects the diverse musical styles of it members with everything from indie-pop to alt-country on the bill. In October 2018, the band released the single 'You'll Never Make Me Talk'.
