OVERVIEW Si Schroeder is the stage name of Dubliner, Simon Kenny. Simon has been using a derivative of the 'Shroeder' moniker since the early part of the 1990s. In 1993, he formed Schroeder's Cat along with Darragh O'Grady. The pair worked together for about five years, releasing one single and one EP along the way. Next up was the Schroedersound project which yielded the 'C4' single in 2004. In 2006, Simon released 'Coping Mechanisms, a beautifully crafted album. The records received numerous plaudits and in January 2007, the record was nominated for the Choice Music Prize. As of early 2012, Si Schoeder has just made a track, 'Jump Ship' available as a sampler from his sophamore release whih is provisionally titled 'Holding Patterns'. 2006 - Release of 'Coping Mechanisms' album [12 May] - Release of 'Brailowsky' single [June] 2007 - 'Coping Mechanisms' is nominated for the Choice Music Award [10 January] 2008 - Si Schroeder is chosen to represent Ireland at the Eurosonic Festival which takes place on 10th & 11th of January 2012 - Release of 'Clocked' single [01 June] |
