OVERVIEW Seti The First is an experimental music project featuring Thomas Haugh and Kevin Murphy. The pair have been involved with music for several years. Thomas was a member of acclaimed band, The Plague Monkeys before recording a body of solo material as Hulk. Kevin, for his part, has performed with Interference for many years. He was also a member of Igloo in the latter part of the 1990s. The pair met when Kevin was helping out Thomas with his Hulk solo project. Thomas was captured by Kevin's improvisation with the cello and the pair decided to work together on a cello-based project. Seti The First is the result of this collaboration. The band debuted with the release of the 'Floer Of There Or Thereabouts' in early 2012. The six track EP contained such eloquently-titled compostiions as 'The Defenestration Of Yan Masaryk' and 'La Basinette Noir'. The EP was subsumed in its entirity into the band's debut album, 'Melting Cavalry' which followed in April.
