| OVERVIEW September Girls is a garage-pop band based in Dublin. The line up includes Paula Cullen [Vocals & Bass Guitar], Caoimhe Derwin [Vocals & Guitar], Lauren Kerchner [Vocals & Keyboards], Jessie Ward [Vocals & Guitar] and Sarah Grimes [Drums]. Paula, Caoimhe' Lauren and Jessie had been playing together as Talulah Does The Hula since 2008. However, that project came to an end in 2011 when drummer Michael Winder moved abroad. Undeterred, the four girls recruited drummer Sarah Grimes from Waterford band, Black Robots and September Girls was formed. The band made its live debut just to months later. It was also in November that the group contributed the track 'Hells Bells' to the 'One Day : Music Compilation' which featured tracks from 16 artists who had recorded at the Granny it's Ok to Experiment Studio in Waterford. The following month, September Girls made the single 'I Want You Back (For Christmas)' available as a free download. The track was a collaboration with The #1s. In April 2012, the band released a limited edition cassette single. The single 'Wanting More / Secret Lovers' was limited to 100 copies. 2011 - Band formed [September] - September Girls contribute the track 'Hells Bells' to the 'One Day : Music Compilation' album [ - Release of 'I Want You Back (For Christmas)' single [20 December] 2012 - Release of 'Wanting More / Secret Lovers' single [30 April] - Release of 'Green Eyed' single [22 October] - Release of 'Wanting More' EP [06 November] 2013 - Release of 'Talking' EP [10 April] - Release of 'Ships // Flesh' single [07 Septmeber] - Release of 'Heartbeats' single [04 November] 2014 - Release of 'Cursing The Sea' album [06 January] - Release of 'Veneer' single [29 September] - Release of 'Veneer' EP [24 November] 2016 - Release of 'Love No One' single [05 February] - Release of 'Age Of Indignation' album [04 April] |
