LIMERICK 2005 - 2010
OVERVIEW
Seneca was a alternative rock band from Limerick who now trade as Senakah. The group which featured Rob Hope [Vocals, Guitar & Keyboards], Yvonne Conaty [Bass Guitar, Vocals & Keyboards], Brendan O'Gorman [Lead Guitar] and Daragh O'Loughlin [Drums] formed in 2005. Rob, Yvonne and Daragh had previously played with another Limerick-based outfit. The trio recruited guitarist Brendan O'Gorman to complete the lineup.

Seneca released a pair of singles, 'Smile' [2007] and 'Clarity' [2008] as well as an album, 'Sweeter Than Bourbon' [2008]. In the wake of these releases, the band spent a significant amount of time performing in the US where the band's music was warmly received. It was during one of these tours that it came to light that the Seneca name was already in use by a Casino chain. The band decided on a slight name change to avoid any future difficulties. And so the Seneca name was retired and Senakah was born.
