OVERVIEW Pat Dam Smyth is a singer-songwriter from Belfast. He learned his trade busking the streets of Belfast and across the UK before joining London-based Smokey Angle Shades. After a period performing with that outfit, Smyth returned home to Belfast. There he recorded his debut solo album, 'The Great Divide' which was released in 2011. This little known artist has created one of the finest albums of the year. It is a sublime collection of the very best of indie-pop music at its very best. When performing like, the line up is extended to include the likes of Mike Mormecha [Mojo Fury, Clownparlour] on drums as Kevin Sweeney [Guitar] and Joe McGurgan [Bass Guitar] both of whom also play with The Dirty Blues Band. 2011 - Release of 'The Great Divide' album [22 January] |
