OVERVIEW Suzanne Rhatigan is a singer-songwriter from Dublin. She first appeared on the scene in the early 1980s as part of the jazz-funk outfit Fifth Avenue. Next up for Suzanne was a stint with Toy With Rhythm which was an electro-pop outfit. In the mid-1980s, she joined Les Enfants, replacing another ex-Toy With Rhythm vocalist Flo McSweeney. However, this adventure was also relatively short-lived. By the late 80s / early 90s, Suzanne was to be found in London where she worked regularly as a session singer for the Stock Aitken And Waterman production team. In 1992, she recorded her debut solo album with Fred Maher. The record was entitled 'To Hell With Love'. This was also the name of the lead single. The album spawned two further singles - 'Open Up' and 'Indian Summer'. However, to date, there have been no further solo releases from Suzanne. In the mid-1990s, Suzanne's musical style had moved on once more. This time she fronted a punk -pop band. The band was called Rhatigan and released two LPS and a number of EPs. During the early 1990s, she was dating actor Craig Charles. This resulted in her getting the opportunity to appear in an episode of the cult TV series, 'Red Dwarf'. She played the character Camille in the episode of the same name. 1992 - Release of 'To Hell With Love' single - Release of 'To Hell With Love' album - Release of 'Open Up' single 1993 - Release of 'Indian Summer' single |
