BELFAST 2001 - 2006
OVERVIEW
Red Sirus was a rock band from Belfast. Formed in 2001, the band included John Paul McCorley [Vocals & Guitar], Darren Brown [Vocals & Guitar], Ruairi Dempsey [Violin, Guitar & Keyboards], Joseph Dougan [Drums] and Martin McLoughlin [Bass Guitar & Vocals]. Joseph had previously played with Corrigan. The band takes its name from Sirus / Sirus A, the brightest star visible from Earth.

While the band recorded a couple of demos ['Cerro Tololo Sky' and 'After The Fall'], the band's only formal release was the single, 'The Fight' which was released in 2006. The band also contributed tracks to a number of compilations.

After the band split, Ruairi went on to join The Jane Bradfords. Joe played with Roque Junior, Gaju and Desert Hearts.
