GALWAY 2007 -
OVERVIEW
Aisling Quinn is a Galway-born, Dublin-based singer. Her style draws a heavy influence from old school jazz and blues. While Aisling originally emerged as a solo artist, she is often not accompanied by a backing group known as The Halliday Squares. The line up of this support group includes Joeby Browne [Bass Guitar], Liza Delaney [Violin], Christophe Capewell [Violin], Naomi Tamblyn [Saxophone & Flute] and Regan O'Driscoll [Vocals].

Aisling first burst on to the scene in 2007 with the release of her 'A Simple Arrangement' EP which included tracks such as 'Morning In The City' and 'A Way Back Home'. In 2009, Aisling's composition, 'When You Come' reached the semi-final stage of the 'International Songwriting Competition'. She repeated that feat a year later when 'Song I Wrote For You' also reached the same stage of the competition.

She re-emerged in May 2011 with the release of 'On My Way' single. The track merely served as an appetiser for Aisling's debut album, 'Let The Games Begin' which followed a fortnight later. The album featured the aforementioned single, the two award-winning compositions and 8 other tracks.

In April 2012, 'Song I Wrote For You' became the second single to be released from the album. In October 2012, Aisling performed as part of the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival in Dublin.
