Mark had previously been selected as a member of the fledgling Boyzone, however, he soon left the group. Only Us may have released some material, however, details of this are unclear. The band played a headline gig at the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght in February 1996. In 2001, Mark joined Fifth Ave. This represented a successful period for him with the group notching up a string of successful singles such as 'Sometimes When We Touch' and 'Party All Night'.
