DUBLIN DATES
OVERVIEW
Barry O'Brien is singer-songwriter from Dublin. While he is now better known as the lead player in poperpop band, Slumberjet, this was not always the case. He has played with bands throughout his life. Most notably, he formed the band Peyote before going solo. In 2001, he recorded a demo of acoustic tracks. These recordings included the tracks 'Sisters In The Sky' and 'Thanks' which would later appear on the Slumberjet album.

In 2004, Barry released his debut solo EP entitled 'Spark'. The four tracks on the EP, 'Cut Me Out' 'The Strangest Game', 'Sisters In The Sky' and 'Under The Ways', would also appear on the Slumberjet album. The following year, 'Cut Me Out' was included on the 'Meteor Rising Stars' album which was given away with The Star newspaper.

Around this time, O'Brien started to get a band together. The early lineup of Slumberjet included Keith Farrell on Bass Guitar and Aidan O'Grady on Drums. Both were well known on the local music scene. More recently, the pair has been replaced by Fergal Hendrick [Bass Guitar & Vocals] and Eustace Merriman [Drums].
