DUBLIN 2011 -
OVERVIEW
No Spill Blood is a Dublin-based post-rock band. The group came together in early 2001 when the original members of Matt Hedigan [Bass Guitar & Vocals], Ruadhan O'Meara [Synths] and Lar Kaye [Drums] took some time out from their own bands in order to jam together. Matt, previously of Elk, had just moved to Dublin from Cork. Ruadhan had played in a multitude of groups including The Coldspoon Conspiracy, Hermie In Tweed, Guilty Optics and Grey Mayhem. Lar was well known on the scene as a member of Adebisi Shank. These jamming sessions would lead to the creation of No Spill Blood. The band took its name from a reference in H.G. Well's novel 'The Island Of Dr. Moreau'.

In July 2012, the band released its debut EP / Mini Album entitled 'Street Meat'. The trio continued to juggle their time between No Spill Blood and their other groups. However, in 2014 Lar decided to leave to concentrate on Tvvins/ All Tvvins. Lar was replaced on drums by Ror Conaty. Ror had played alongside Ruadhan in Grey Mayhem but had more recently drummed with Veroa.

In March 2015, the band released its first proper full length album entitled 'Heavy Electricity'.
