OVERVIEW Seán Murphy is a young singer-songwriter from Portarlington, Co. Laois. He has been playing music for a number of years. During this time, he has performed with a number of groups, however, he has, more recently to focused on his own solo material. In a live context, he has played a combination of cover and original material. However, in recent times, he has been concentrating on his songwriting and has produced a significant body of material. In 2010, Seán entered the Irish Youth Music Awards. Later that year, an album featuring the best talent from that competition was released on Garage Records.
