KILKENNY 2005 -
OVERVIEW
Formed in 2005, hailing from heart of Kilkenny, Myp et Jeep have brought their distinctive catchy rock sound the length and breadth of the country with a string of performances supporting the likes of: Snow Patrol, Republic of Loose, Frank & Walters to name but a few. Winners of the Kilkenny battle of the bands in 2005, a string of dates in the UK and the band were quickly becoming a favourite at Dublin’s Garage gigs with their catchy hooks and melodic anthems. They were then asked to play the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival, Ireland’s major music showcase and featured on the festival's compilation CD, with 'Enough Is Enough' being one of the most downloaded tracks from the competition. The band have since developed a more mature sound over the last 2 years and with U2 and Elvis Costello main man Leo Pearson manning the controls and maestro mixer Richard Rainey (U2, Mansun, Ash) working his little fingers to the bone.
