The group was formed in 2007, as a three-piece of Des Foley [Vocals & Guitar], Pat Byrne [Drums] and Ronan Donahue [Bass Guitar]. Ronan later left the band. His bass duties were takn on by former Scuba Dice man, Eoin 'Spud' Murphy. Kristian McGrath joined the group on guitar. The band recorded one EP during its lifetime. The EP, 'If Anyone's Listening' was released in 2007. The following year, the band self-released its debut album 'Cock And Bottle'. In late 2008, Des Foley left the group and joined Jody Has A Hitlist. The remaining members continued on for a while. However, by the end of 2009, Mr. Lightweight had run its course. Pat Byrne went on to form Moses Moorhouse And The Dinosaur Palace with his friend, Jack O'Leary. In 2011, Byrne entered the inaugural series of 'The Voice Of Ireland'. Pat went on to win the series, which ran throughout early 2012.
