DUBLIN | SLIGO | BARI [ITALY] 2008 -
OVERVIEW
Moo! is a Dublin-based rock band, active on the scene since 2008. The group's current line up features Claudio Mercante [Vocals & Guitar], Darren Flynn [Bass Guitar & Vocals] and Mark Finlay [Drums & Vocals]. However, it's understood that others may have also played with the band. Darren had previously played with the likes of Renko and Rollin' And Tumblin'. The latter also included Claudio. Mark had been a member of Sinead Martin & The Long Knives who later became The Long Knives.

The trio's sound is hard to categorise as it features elements of a number of styles. Moo! take inspiration from everything from straight up rock 'n' roll, country and rockabilly to the film scores of Ennio Morricone. The band released its debut album in September 2011. The record entitled 'Wanted' contained the band's interpretations of classics from the likes of The Fugees ('Ready Or Not'), Nancy Sinatra ('These Boots Are Made For Walking') and The Ramones ('Blitzkrieg Bop'). However, the band's real sweet spot is live performance. The band has been performing regularly on the local scene right throughout its career. In October 2012, Moo! performed as part of the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival in Dublin.

As of early 2013, the band has been preparing for the release of a new EP which is due for release in April.
