OVERVIEW Mongrel State is a 4-piece band based in Dublin. In spite of being based in Ireland, the group is made up of players from around the world. Vocalist, Claudio Mercante is from Bari in Italy. Sebastian Jezzi [Drums & Percussion] hails from Argentina while pianist Guillermo González Rodríguez is Spanish. In fact, bass guitarist, Darren Flynn, from Sligo is the sole Irishman in the troupe. Claudio and Darren had performed togetjher for a number of years previously as Moo!. In early 2015, Moo! morphed into Mongrel State. As Mongrel State produce an eclectic sound varying from rock and rockabilly to latin-american grooves. The band released its first single, 'How Many More Times' later in 2015. That year also the band perform at the Electric Picnic festival in Stradbally, Co. Laois. They then went on to record a full length album along with producer, Gavin Glass.
