OVERVIEW The Mocrac musical project started in 2001 as a studio experiment. Lead man Maurice Ferriter, met Liam Mulvanney and Ed Joiffe and they started experiment with sounds. In 2002, the fledgling outfit contributed the track 'Happy' to the 'Collbaorations' compilation. This collection brought together pairs of Irish artists who recorded tracks together. Mocrac collaborated with Cathy Davey on the track. Mocrac's debut album, 'Cash Is King' was independently released in 2004. Around this time, Ferriter decided to recruit a full band. The expanded lineup included Aine De Siun [Guitar & Vocals], Donnchadh MacAogain [Bass Guitar], Stuart Doyle [Guitar] and Conleth Kavanagh [Drums]. In 2006, 'Happy' was released as a single. The following year, the band released the 'Mocrac' album. The 11-track collection was a combination of 7 tracks which had appeared on the 'Cash Is King' album as well as 4 new numbers. One of these new songs, 'Sloopy' was released as a digital download single later that year. 2001 - Mocrac formed 2002 - Mocrac contributed the track 'Happy' to the 'Collbaorations' compilation. 2004 - Release of 'Cash Is King' album 2006 - Releae of 'Happy' single [17 February] 2007 - Release of 'Mocrac' album which is, essentially, - Release of 'Sloopy' single |
