OVERVIEW Mitch hail from Ireland and Dublin's northside and are the brainchild of singer/ songwriter and guitarist Eamon Mitchell, a former member of 90's Dublin Bands The Conspiracy, babylon the bride and Drowning Kristiania. Eamon's claim to fame is he played on stage at a very young age with u2 in pairc ui chaoimh in cork Ireland During the Joshua tree tour performing the curtis mayfield classic "people get ready" Eamon move to london UK with the Conspiracy in the early 90's where he played such prestigious venues as the mean fiddler in harlsden, the rock garden in Covent garden, the borderline near soho. Eamon then moved to Copenhagen Denmark in 95 where he went solo and toured extensivly in bars and venues in Finland, Sweden, Germany ,Norway and also Denmark Eamon returned to Dublin Ireland in 2001 and went on the Irish .Music. Rights .Organisation. songwriters workshop in maynooth ,Kildare where he was inspired to write (breathe) the debut single from Mitch out now september 2005. He then set about forming a new band and recoding new material spanding most of 2003 recording the One Good Reason cd featuring the single breathe and in January 2004 he formed Mitch along with his brother Dominick on drums and Cathal Molloy on bass guitar. Mitch have built up a loyal fan base in Dublin Ireland playing such venues as Eamon Dorans ,The Hub, The Mezz, Fitzsimons Temple bar Mother Red Caps in the famous ChristChurch area . Mitch went to New York in may 2005 to play Beckys rock bar in downtown Manhatttan for 4 nights and the place was heaving 4 great nights of pure rock/pop songs and a few old songs thrown in for extra fun. while attending the annual Global. Entertainment and Media Summit held in the laugh factory on the famous 42nd street the band met many media types and made some very valuable contacts. and are returning to New York in november for some showcase gigs in manhattan and phillidlphia and im sure they will be popping into beckys at some stage. During the summer the band went back into the studio to record two new tracks (ANYONE) and the live favorite 25 years.The song ANYONE was selected by David Stark of songlink Internationl to be used on a show case cd with 23 other various artist from around europe at this years Popkomm music festival in Berlin, Germany from the 14th to 16th of September 2005 where agents ,managers, record companies and publishers pick the cream or fresh new talent . for a listen to the track (ANYONE) and more information contatct songlink .com Also during the summer Eamon went on another songwriter's retreat in kent ,london uk hosted by squeeze front man (cool for cats) Chris Difford and an amazing week followed ,Eamon came back to Dublin recharged and with lots of new songs and some very interesting collabrations, rubbing shoulders with writers from Nashville ,Norah jones band ,Paul Wellers band and Marti Pellow of Wet wet wet fame an amazing time and creativly very productive. Mitch Release their debut single cd (BREATHE) september 2005 and is in all good record shops at the moment. The album (ONE GOOD REASON)will be realesed on the 20th oct with a launch in MB Slatterys in Rathmines in Dublin Ireland the same day .
