NAAS, CO. KILDARE | 2005 - |
OVERVIEW Miracle Bell is a rock band from Naas, Co. Kildare. The band started out as a covers band called When In Rome. The line up featured Dave Prendergast [Vocals, Guitar & Synthesisers], John Broe [Guitar, Vocals & Keyboards], Tom Barrett [Bass Guitar & Vocals] and John Rigney [Drums & Vocals]. The quartet soon graduated from the covers circuit and started writing and performing their own material. The band seemlessly merged guitars, keyboards and Predergasts vocals to create a radio-friendly yet authentic rock sound. The band's recorded debut came in the form of the 'Temperature Rise' EP in 2007. The collection included 'Hallucinogenic', 'Tomorrow' and 'Trantmania' as well as the title track. The EP gave the public an early indication of the band's talent. Over the following two years, Miracle Bell released a series of singles including 'Inhale-Exhale', 'Who Took It All?' and 'Fit For Love'. In May 2010, the band released its debut album, 'Light Shape Sound'. The album was well received in Ireland reaching number 68 in the Irish charts. Over the remainder of that year, the band went on to release further singles in the shape of 'Love Sounds' and 'Future Kings'. During this period, bassist Tom Barrett left the band. 2005 - Band formed 2007 - Release of 'Temperature Rise' EP [August] 2008 - Release of 'Inhale-Exhale' single [October] 2009 - Release of 'Who Took It All? single [February] - Miracle Bell perform as part of the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival in Dublin [16 - 18 October] 2010 - Release of 'Fit For Love' single [March] - Release of 'Light Shape Sound' album [07 May] - Release of 'Love Sounds' single [16 July] - Release of 'Future Kings' [03 December] - Tom Barrett leaves the band 2011 - Release of 'Light Shape Sound' single [25 March] - Re-release of 'Inhale-Exhale' single [17 June] - Mracle Bell perform as part of the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival in Dublin [06 - 08 October] - Release of 'Flash Back Home' single [November] |
