OVERVIEW Mendoza was a rock band from Newbridge, Co. Kildare. The group was formed after a number of other bands ended. The original lineup came together in 2002 and featured Conor Wilkins [Vocals & Guitar], Wayne Fahy [Bass Guitar, Synth & Vocals], Donal Fleming [Drums & Effects], C.J. Loftus [Vocals] and Niall Johnston [Guitar]. The iteration of the band played together for a number of years. However, a new lineup came together in 2006 which featured Conor Wilkins [Vocals & Guitar], Wayne Fahy [Bass Guitar, Synth & Vocals], Donal Fleming [Drums & Effects] and Kevin Brew [Guitar & Keyboards]. This new lineup instilled the group with a new sense of purpose. In 2007, the band released its debut single which was a double A-Side featuring '28 Days' and 'Lights Out'. However, at the start of 2008 the quartet decided to part company. Conor, Kevin and Donal regrouped somewhat later as I Phoenix.
